Background

Petmate began with the founding of Doskocil Manufacturing in 1959, with the creation of the very first dog kennel. Although the company originally specialized in kennels, growing demand for other pet supplies led to an emphasis on other product categories. The company produce many of their products at the manufacturing facilities in Arlington, Texas. At Petmate, that love and passion which forges the bond we all have with our companions fuels the joy and dedication exhibited the line.

Design Approach

The objective of the project was to create a cleaning product line with varied packaging sizes and shapes. Petmate is an international pet supply company committed to providing fun, trusted, quality products to enhance the lives of pets and their families. The brand utilize eco-friendly manufacturing techniques to ensure that pets and their families have a beautiful world to play in. To translate this philosophy, using a typography, color coding along with the new playful logo, the story and quality of the products are translated through a familiar and welcoming retro direction.
